Question

Has anyone found any loopholes that would make the technology impossible in the Hyperloop project as detailed by Elon Musk?

Answer

Hyperloop is a hopelessly incomplete idea! Full of fatal gaps. Clearly, it needs an iPhone app and Facebook/Twitter integration. Glaring gap there. Integrated check-in (both Foursquare and airplane style) of course. And an API for self-serve ad-buying in back-seat in-loop entertainment system/wifi. I mean we're talking an entire 35 minutes of uncaptured attention here. How is the freemium ticket supposed to work without that in place? Can't believe they left such first principles features out of the MVP design spec. Just sloppy. And they haven't even crowd-sourced a t-shirt design yet. And I can't believe they released a concept drawing without A/B testing the color scheme. Jeez, talk about missing the basics.

These people really don't understand startups and innovation. They need to pivot towards more of an "Über for Trains" model, and rethink their whole vision in terms of the sharing economy. I am sure there are visionary Caltrain employees in pain, already hacking together jury-rigged sharing economy ticketing models. Another pivot option would be to use their design software that they used to do the basic route planning and tube design for mobile ad targeting. Much more believable business model. That's where the real visionary customers are, figuring out hacks to target advertising better.

Amateurs. They seem to have no clue what to prioritize in real innovation.
